Via the Arkansas Times blog, I see that the state Senate is now pushing a resolution to make February 6 Ronald Reagan Day in Arkansas (and using what looks to be another cut and paste resolution to do it. I warned you guys about this last week).
I like Reagan, but this has gone just about far enough. So I now propose a new Kinkade Rule for Arkansas legislators: No more damn resolutions honoring people who don’t have a direct tie to Arkansas, period. No Reagan Day, no Tom Paine Day, no Hooray for Barack Obama Day, no more of this damn mindless, weak-kneed hero worship — just knock it off and get back to whatever the hell it is you’re supposed to be doing there at the Capitol. Don’t make me come over there! Mostly because I don’t want to.
