There’s a lot of stuff going on in the Arkansas political blogging world these days, so I wanted to take a second to point up some of the new developments on the scene.
If you just come here for jokes/poorly sourced rumors/pictures of scantily clad women and have no interest in the broader Arkansas blogging society, stop reading this right now, because I can tell you it’s not going to get any better. But more of the good stuff will be forthcoming:
Talk Business impresario Roby Brock launched a new blog in his ever-expanding media empire this week, “The Political Buzz,” which is off to a strong start in covering some of the key issues in the legislative session.
Blogger Blake Rutherford conned or bribed someone in Washington into giving him press credentials, so he’s off to the nation’s capital to cover the presidential inauguration — he’ll be providing updates at Blake’s Think Tank and through his Twitter feed.

The Tolbert Report has added on a new contributor in Brett Hooton, a Young Republican type who made a run for the House in District 29 last year, but fell a bit short of Ann Clemmer in the primary. Hooton weighs in on the legislative recess for the presidential inauguration.
Arkansas Business gives a nice rundown of a few legislators who are blogging, with tips of the hat to House Speaker Robert “Robbie” Wills, Majority Leader Steve Harrelson and The Arkansas Project’s own Rep. Dan Greenberg, who incidentally threatens promises more blogging activity in the weeks to come.
