Arkansas Project Takes on Professional Journalists

Updated: Apr 15

Arkansas Project publisher David Kinkade addresses the press in an undated file photo.

In an inexplicable move, the Arkansas chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists invited me to serve on a panel to talk about politics this evening. I know, crazy, right?

Fortunately, more esteemed individuals will be on hand to lend weight to the proceedings: I’m talking A-listers like Roby Brock of Talk Business and over-initialed Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reporter Matthew S.L. Cate, who covered both the GOP and Democratic national conventions, as well as the first presidential debate in Oxford, Miss.

It’s at the Main Library’s east room in downtown Little Rock from 6-7:30 p.m. Afterwards, Roby and I will vie for the “Arkansas Top Blogger” title in an over-the-top arm wrestling competition at a nearby bar, at which time I’ll show that noodle-armed TV pretty boy once and for all who’s boss. Don’t miss it!
